The reason why I haven't posted much about Halloween here is because I'm doing a Halloween Countdown at Moongem Comics. The majority of topics have been on Elvira from comics to merchandise.

According to LAist: Vampira Goes To The Great Beyond, Maila Nurmi died January 10, 2008 at the age of 86. She was the tv horror hostess that inspired Elvira.

Tonight was the finale for The Search For The Next Elvira. The winner was my favorite so big congratulations to ( the winner )

I watched two episodes of The Search For The Next Elvira tonight and they have narrowed it down to three contestants. April has my vote for the overall winner. To me, Kitty looks too much like Marie Osmond. I'm not too thrilled with Jenny because I'm not a big fan of skinny Asians. I just finished watching the first episode of The Search For The Next Elvira on Fox Reality and I loved it. Elvira and two manviras were great as were some of the contestants.
