Yes, I am somewhat happy about the election. I voted for a Democratic president for the first time. It wasn't so much because I loved him, but he was the better of the two candidates. Time will tell whether he's as good for America as he claims to be.
I'm more shocked that my home county voted to allow alcohol sales on Sundays. :) They've been dry on Sundays since 1976, have tried to overturn it periodically, and finally pulled 68% of the vote to do so. Maybe people finally realized that everyone just crossed the county line to buy booze, so our county was losing some money.
