I've decided to keep track of a new diet I'm trying. I signed up for Noom. The reason I decided to give it a try is because the science behind the method is cognitive behavioral therapy. I know this science to be beneficial through the work I do as a counselor. I thought, this might help me. I know I changed a lot of behaviors after going through the counseling program and becoming a counselor.
I know I need to change my eating habits and the green, yellow, red way that Noom shows a person what they eat helps me to know what is healthy and what is more indulgence. When I first started keeping track of my meals, I noticed that I eat a lot of red foods. These foods are less calorie dense than green foods like apples, oranges, oatmeal and coffee. I haven't seen a big drop in my weight this week. I do feel that I have more energy. Basically, less calorie dense foods contain a lot of water. Tea is another drink apart from water that's green. Yellow foods include baked items: chicken, fish, gravy, busicuits.
I know I need to include excerising to my routine. I ordered a machine for $100 that seems to be comact enough and allow for a variety of movements. I'm expecting it today.
I guess after getting married, it's easy to not think about what I'm eating because I just eat with Jeremiah. He can weigh more than me, though because he's over six foot tall. Short doesn't look good with more weight.
