So, it took about ten minutes into the audiobook for me to stop squeeing over hearing Zachary Quinto, and then I had to go back and to hear that bit again.
"Vulcans invited Earth into the Federation. Cue me instantly snapping out loud, “That‘s wrong! The Federation was founded on Earth.”" I have not yet gotten to this part, (I listened to the beginning and now it's been on hold while I read fic.) but that will totally bother me too!
I was SO glad they cut that about Jim and Gaila. Sadly we're going to get the scene where he apologizes to her as an extended scene. I'm all for more bonus materials but that whole idea just makes him seem mean. (I did read a nice fanwank where Gaila totally knew what he was doing with that email and he knew that she knew, but didn't tell her so she'd have plausible deniability.)
That scene is going to be an extended scene? Aw, I'd rather take more the scene of Nero and Ayel admiring the Earth.

Mean and callous. *nods* Which I'm very grateful that it wasn't in the movie. If it was in it, it would have hurt my love of Kirk. Thank god someone thought better of it. *cheers on whomever that was*

As far as I know that scene's going to be in there too. It was a post on ontd_startrek that had all the scenes listed. I think I've seen it somewhere else too, but I can't find the list right now. There was some more Romulan stuff, Spock's birth I think, 2 things about the KM-test and Gaila, a scene labelled something like Jim, George and Uncle Frank, which confused me, becasue uncle? I though he was the stepfather, but in the end we'll see when the DVD comes out. I just hope we get all the extras for all the area codes.
You can download the audiobook on Pirate Bay, if you really want it? That's what I'm doing. I can't wait two months to get in contact with money and buy my Star Trek fix, so I'm downloading it for now xD
Thanks, but I managed to borrow it from the library since then :). Anyway, I'm not completely sure I'd be able to understand an audiobook easily, as English's not my mother tongue and understanding spoken English is much harder than reading it for me :).
Ugh, don't mind me, I'm just sad that I've finished reading what you have up of the tiny!Spock fic and I am going through your other fic. I came across this, and I was like "OMG I LOVE THE AUDIOBOOK, ZQ ZQ ZQ SQUEE" and decided to read it.
1. The explanation as to why young!Jim decided to take the car on a joy rideyeah agreed - in the movie, I had no idea why he was taking a joyride, I just assumed he was supposed to be rebellious and thrill seeking. Everything made so much more sense in the audiobook with that tiny bit of explanation. I am hoping it will show up as a deleted scene on the DVD

Just one little line would have been just perfect.
Spock's birth was a great parallel. Especially, since he ws born at the same time as a star went nova. That made me flail when I heard it.
When I listened to that part when Nero decided to not kill Pike after all. I was so boggled I had to stop and listen to it again. Then I died of laughter.
My affection for Uhura probably carries over from my decade long TOS love. I think that if I hadn't been so into TOS before I saw the movie I would have also thought that nu!Uhura was too bitchy.
Also, I agree about the WTF that she has a relationship with one of her teachers. Honestly, I'm telling myself that part was new and that they were friends first. Maybe it didn't even develop until after Uhura was so close to graduating. Yeah, I'm fanwaking like crazy.
First time ZQ did his Uhura voice, I just about died. It was so funny and high-pitched. I had to pause the audiobook to let out the lulz. =D
Thank you! I'm so delighted to hear that you like it! It's my first pon farr fic ever. So, hearing that it was hot makes me go: \o/
ZQ making the noises was hilarious. And now, next time I listen to the audiobook, I'm going to be mentally picturing angry!Spock chasing Jim down. *snickers*
I can't wait to read the rest of your fic, I really admire your balance of smut, and heart wrenching one liners that just leave me going 'guh!'.
*beams* Thank you! I hope that you do end up liking my other fic.

I look forward to getting more Romulan stuff! Excellent. As if I wasn't already impatient about the DVD, now I'm even more so.
