(no subject)
There will come a time when I actually update my LJ enough that I won't feel the compunction to begin each entry with "I'm not dead!".
Or at least I hope so.
A couple weeks ago the boy and I went to DC for a weekend. Lovely weather, lovely time. Most of my photos are still on my camera (I may be worse at emptying my camera than I am at updating my LJ), but I spammed my Twitter a bit and a bunch are on my TwitPic, if anyone's curious. Saturday we hit up the Air & Space Museum and the Natural History Museum, Sunday was the Botanic Garden and all the monuments in the vicinity of the National Mall (and the White House). My feet were killing me by the end of Sunday, and according to Google Maps we walked almost 10 miles, so that would explain that.
This weekend was StrawFest, so I got to see the lovely spicebean. ♥ Also this weekend I actually made some food that wasn't a sandwich or ramen, tasty bacon and egg cups for Saturday's dinner and cinnamon cupcakes (the recipe's for mini bundts, but I don't have the right sort of pan, so I used a muffin tin) after I got home from StrawFest. Enjoyed them while watching the Doctor Who episode Father's Day. I miss Nine, he was awesome. Don't get me wrong, I loved Ten and am really enjoying Eleven, but Nine was my first Doctor. And he and Rose were so cute, with the hugs and the handholding. ♥
(I also got a sunburn because I didn't even think about sunblock before leaving the house today. Face, chest, arms. You can tell I was wearing a necklace. Bah. =P)
