What a day...
It all started on Wednesday late in the afternoon... Isis started to sneeze a bit, it continued now and then for the rest of the evening and a bit during the night too. So being a good cat parent I took her off to the vets bright and early yesterday morning, only to find that the vet was off sick! :( So phoned the other part of the practice located a few miles away and they had no appointments available in the morning either... Though after being a bit forceful I managed to get one squeezed in at 2:10pm following a bitch spay op they had to do.
So home we went and I watched her like a hawk until it was time to bundle her back up and take her to the other practice. It seems they had the same problem as my own vets, and were down to a locum on call! Oh well he seemed to know what to do and has put Isis on antibiotics although he didn't think she was too bad, but you can't risk the health of a future breeding female... By now it was almost 2:40pm and I have pick my son up at 3:15pm, so I had time to dash over to the pet supply place and get a huge load of kitty litter put in the car for me and to find another deep bowled stainless steel cat dish, 'cause they've been throwing their cat bikky all over the floor recently! :( Everyone who saw Isis was amazed at her looks, and she sure as heck showed off regardless of having a bit of a cold! ;) Typical flirty teenager I guess as she turns 9 months old tomorrow... :)
Finally I got her home, along with myself and my son... Then it was a quick rush to get him ready for his dental appointment after school. MrO turned up on time as he had the appointment after our son's and we even managed to find a parking space straight off at CMK! Amazing since we only just arrived there in time for the appointments! ;) While rushing to the dentist and planning the weeks shopping in my head, MrO informed me that he had to go back to work at 8:00pm for a residence committee meeting in one of his areas!
So from CMK and the dentist it was a mad dash to Asda and the fastest weeks shopping I think we've ever done! Then all I had to do was put it all away, cook dinner, make a packed lunch for our son for today and get everyone fed in time for MrO to make it to the meeting before 8:00pm! It's a miracle none of us got indigestion to say the least! ;) So my son and I were left to clear up the bomb-site that my kitchen was starting to resemble following the hasty cooking etc.
Finally we had a 30 min cuddle in front of the TV before it was time to get him off to bed at which point I poured myself a drink and took myself off to bed too, 'cause I was falling to sleep on my feet! MrO didn't manage to get out of his meeting until 9:30pm and joined me in a drink while lounging in bed with the cats... :) A nice end to quite some day!
Anyway Isis is a little better today and not too bad at taking her pills either... Only 9 more days of them to go now!
