It has been several months since I updated, so I've sort of let a lot of life fly by. This semester's been punctuated by a lot of just-barely-keeping-my-head-above water. The temperature Fahrenheit and the wind speed in miles per hour are roughly equivalent right now. There are very few situations where such an occurrence would be pleasant, and it's a warm day (read: really fucking dangerous outside).

The good news: Louisville is running out of trees to knock over.

Lotsa big news since my last update. Biggest news is, of course, taking possession of the new house. It does not quite look perfect but there is much which could be overlooked in a furnished place which looks desolate when it's empty. Also, holes from hardware removal. Big news out of the way first: I have a contract, and a pending inspection, for a house. It's on Dorma Avenue, which puts it about 4 blocks southeast of a major intersection in central Louisville (southeast is definitely the right direction to be from Preston & Eastern). Today is the Kentucky Oaks, the somewhat obscure race preceding the Kentucky Derby. It's a big deal roundabouts here because (a) it's a named race, and (b) it basically kicks off Derby Weekend.
