This is a story I am currently writing. I got the idea when I was flipping through the story collection in my "Stories And Songs" folder.
I came across two stories within that folder:
1. Dragon's Divinity by yours truly, Jackey Tran in 2003
2. Time And Space by ah chi, Nancy Pham in 2004
Basically this story is combining both concepts and plots together to form a new one. The writing format is inspired by Nancy's style of writing and so I will not use huge paragraphs.
So as for now, my live journal will be acting as an entertainment blog, only putting chapters at a time.
NOTE: I am writing the chapters as I post, so there is no definite date of release.
NOTE2: You have might "cameos" from both stories. But since you haven't read it, you won't be able to tell. Here's one: the title itself, Theodam, was the name of the king murdered in the Time And Space story, but here it is not the same thing)
NOTE3: The first one or two chapters are boring. "But you have to friggin introduce the story." - Time And Space, Author's Note.
Well ... Enjoy ...
Chapter One - The Book
“Hey guys,” Jackey greeted. “Happy New Year”
Patrick peered at him. “Yeah, yeah, we’re late. Let us in, it’s hot out here”
The group of friends entered Jackey’s house and quickly positioned themselves to take in all the cooling from the air-conditioning. Now within the house consist of: Jackey, Patrick, Janet, Michael, Winnie, and Lawrence.
Jackey called to Janet. “So should I give you a tour or you want to explore on your own”
“I think I’ll be good,” Janet replied, as she wandered to Jackey’s room to see exactly how the mess matches Jackey’s description.
Winnie and Lawrence charged straight to Jackey’s dog, like they always do. Patrick and Michael went straight for the table tennis.
“Hey Jack,” Janet called. “I didn’t know you were a reader”
Jackey hurriedly walks to his room. As the eavesdropping Winnie and Lawrence walks follows. Janet has revealed to have pulled out the smart-storage system on his bed and there were a few books sitting on the first tray.
“Time and Space, Legendary Golden Dragon of Huo, Descendant of …” As Janet rummaged through the books, one in particular, mysteriously slipped out and fell onto the tiled floor.
“Ooo,” Winnie’s typical response to anything.
“Hey guys, come in here. Something odd just happened”, Jackey called to Patrick and Michael. “This is something new. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this here”.
“You mean, you didn’t know you bought this”, Lawrence questioned.
“I know I bought those ones, but this is one…I don’t know”, Jackey replied in confuse. “Let me look at there”. He picked the book up and quickly flipped through it.
“That’s odd, only the first page had writing on it. The rest is just blank”, Lawrence pointed.
“Thanks, Eagle Eye”, Patrick mocked.
Without haste, Winnie snatched the book and began reading the first page.
“It was the dawn of the New Age, and a dark cloud has cast a shadow over the Kingdom of Theodam …” As she read on, a mysterious glow formed a vortex that pulled the friends into the book. Once the strong wind ceased to blow within the room, words began to imprint itself onto the pages of the book.
