It seems that some parents are filing lawsuits against the Union City PD, and the New Haven Unified School District. Mostly because of the shooting I blogged about a couple years ago which happened right after I drove by the school.

Our city logged it's first homicide of the year Friday evening. I think it's interesting to note that the identities of the victims haven't been released, nor were descriptions of the shooters. The list is out, and always interests me. Oakland officials have issued a response. The homicide rate is down in Oakland compared to last year.

This kid, and his family used to live a couple units down from me in the apartment complex. Right next door to the young lady I started to teach kick-boxing to. I used to see him outside showing his younger sister the finer points of soccer.
