Akai Ito
Just marathoned Akai Ito. Ah...beautiful drama. I didn't cry as much as I thought I would. The reason I kept avoiding the drama was because I wasn't in the mood to cry my eyes out but my external hard drive decided to fail on me yesterday so it was the only drama I could watch. But I'm glad I did. Really wonderful drama.
Compared to Koizora, I think I like Akai Ito more. It's not as sad and overdramatic and it bears more hope and fun scenes. For me, the saddest parts are scenes involving drugs. It's really sad that there are people in this world who turn to drugs to escape. There really isn't a best scene for me but I really like the concept of 2 people being tied together by the red thread of destiny. It's not a foreign concept to me since I'm Chinese so I know about it but I think the drama managed to portray the concept very well. I'm afterall a sucker for romance. :P
I finished Liar Game yesterday too. Also kept putting it off until I got the mood to watch it. I like the drama! Compared to Kurosagi which is also a swindler drama, Liar Game wins hands down. Each round of the game is different so the swindling part isn't boring. Toda Erika and Matsuda Shota looks so good together too!!!!!!! I like how Matsuda Shota's character can't leave Toda Erika's character and wants to help her. My favourite scene of the drama has nothing to do with the story. I love the video they play in the background when they introduce the sponsors of the drama. The whole feel of the video with the red, brown and black is what I like. I like it so much, I changed my wallpaper!
Toda Erika looks stunning. I swear I'm gonna get my hair cut like hers the next time.
Matsuda Shota is hot! And a good actor too!
Is this grunge? Whatever it is, I like the mood and feel of it. Red being my favourite colour helps too.
My current wallpaper is from this cap. If there wasn't those annonying sponsors' names blocking. The person who made the wallpaper used a different picture of them both to cover the P&G logo but it looks a bit out of place. But I really love this cap. I love the cool background, the concept of the 2 sofas, the shade of red used. What do you call this style...
I went on a drama and movie hunt today too. I wiki-ed Kanno Miho, Shida Mirai, Toda Erika, Karina and Matsuda Shota and went through the list of dramas and movies they've acted in and find them on LJ. Of course now I can't download them but I added them all to my LJ memories so I can download them later. I don't have to worry about running out of dramas to watch in the future now. :P
Oh yeah, summer dramas isn't over yet but I can't wait for fall's dramas. There's Aiba's drama and Shida Mirai's! Unless Shida Mirai's drama turns out to be so lame that it's not worth watching it immediately or another drama which I want to watch even more comes up, I'll probably be following both these dramas. Aiba's drama is a definite. Can't wait to see which dramas will appear on TFP2 too!
