Big Show DVD!!!
My Big Show DVD finally arrived today!!!!!!!!
I've been waiting in anticipation since they shipped it out last Friday. If it wasn't for the expensive shipping costs, I wouldn't have gone with Yesasia's free shipping and don't have to wait so long. Anyway, the DVD is quite worth it! Fayth asked me why I like to buy originals. After thinking about it, I think it's because I like high quality stuff and I like to collect pretty items and so far all my Big Bang DVDs have fantastic packaging and concert content is decent.
Some of my favourite parts from the Big Show concert after watching it once only is the intro linked to Haru Haru and Lady. The concert opened with some random guy singing a random song opera style. It's very dramatic and gave me the chills but I love it! It then links to the next song Haru Haru which was slower than the original and very dramatic too. As for Lady, they had held only 4 concerts for Big Show and the DVD was from the last day. Everyday, when they sing Lady, they would pick a lucky female fan from the crowd and sing to her and seduce her on stage. When they pause in the middle of the song, the fan has to pick who her favourite BB member is and lucky her gets to hug him! Why I love this performance is because G-Dragon was so cute, trying his best to flirt with the girl and prevent the other members from getting close to her so she would pick him. :D
As for solos, I like Seung Ri's, TOP's (surprise, surprise), GD's and half of Tae Yang's. Seung Ri's Strong Baby performance is just plain sexy. TOP's solo was like a mini drama with videos shown on the screen at certain points of the song to develop the plot. Even though it's an old song which he sang before in an older concert, I like this version a lot more. TOP was so fierce, he rocked the song! GD's solo was cool with him DJ-ing at the start. And why half of Tae Yang's solo only is because the song he sang was from his solo album and it's been performed tooooo many times so I'm sick of the song. The part that I liked was at the beginning where he played the slow version of the song on a grand piano suspended in mid-air then proceed to dance a little on the piano when it landed on the stage. I'm really glad TY and GD are releasing solo albums this year. Hopefully at the next concert, they'll have new songs to perform for their solos.

The very solid and cool outer box of the DVD! The top half of it which shows Big Bang is actually 3D. Every member is a cut-out figure. Close up photo of it under the cut.
Can your sort of see the Big Bang cut-outs are in alternate rows? That's what I mean by 3D. A bit like scrapbooking. It's pretty cool.
Open the outer box and inside it's the DVD box. The colourful circle and star is actually silver but it's those kind of shiny material where it changes colour at different angles.
The DVD box opens up to 4 panals. I say box but it's actually more like a filmsy piece of cardboard. This is my only complaint. There's 3 discs but I don't get why the 3rd DVD called the YG Edit (TBS) Version is included. It's basically the same concert content as Disc 1 called the Original Version except different people edited the video so the angles are different etc. Not like anyone can tell the difference with all the switching of cameras all the time. The 2nd DVD has special behind the scenes footage, the Kdrama Beethoven Virus parody with Big Bang which is hilarious and a video where BB spent a day in an amusement park.

The 1 cm thick photobook which is rather thick compared to my JE and Ayaka concert photobooks.
Magdeline's favourite picture of Tae Yang because she loves the cap. The pages are quite thick so no need to flip it very carefully. :P
TOP seems to love the nerdish side parting look for concerts. He had a similar style in Global Warning and Stand Up tour too I think. He should just stick to the usual cool hairstyle during live performances on TV.
Close up of the previous picture. Look at the gold chain hanging on his ear! Bling bling! But quite a weird place to wear it. I wonder what it really is. Pretty cool still though.
GD, my man! I think I'm liking GD more than TOP now. His smile is so cute. I'll most likely buy his solo album since I like all the songs he wrote for BB like Haru Haru and Last Farewell. Btw he's 1 year younger than me. :O
Guess who's who! This is from the video where BB spent a day in an amusement park. They wore such adorable masks so that people can't recognize them and they had to carry out 3 tasks without people discovering who they were too. TOP was like a child who had too much sugar! Whoever thought of this idea is a genius!
Lastly, Seung Ri cosplaying as a GIRL in the Beethoven Virus parody! I will watch the Kdrama then watch this parody again. I'm sure it'll be funnier then. They've parodied Hana Yori Dango and Coffee Prince previously which are equally hilarious. Go youtube them and you won't be disappointed!
Is anyone interested in a DVD rip of the Big Show concert? I'll definitely rip and burn copies for myself as well as my flat mates so might as well share the awesomeness with others. Might take me a while to upload though......
