8.5 Three Teens

Jun 28, 2010 18:58

The Boston family consists of:

-Rachel Boston, Knowledge adult, LTW Mad Scientist. She works in the Science career as a Science teacher.
-Regis Boston, Family adult, LTW to graduate 3 kids from college. This will of course never happen, not in this generation. Regis works in the Military as... I don't remember!
-Frank Boston, Knowledge teen, LTW to become a Prestidigitator. There is at least one opening in that field, so lets see if he can find such a job
-Heather Boston, child
-Imogene Boston, child
-Hermione, cat
-Ozzy, guinea pig

The love of animals is strong in the Boston household, even this week. Frank shows his affection for Ozzy, the guinea pig.

Regis comes home promoted to Commander, after he got a bonus card that gave him 5.000§. It’s great, this family has been on the edge of poverty since they arrived in Birka.
And Rachel gets promoted to Project Manager at the same time! The autumn rains has started to pour down.

The identical twins, who I cannot tell apart when they’re in uniform, skill up in anticipation of their birthday tonight. Regis is working on his body skill to be able to be promoted to astronaut.

When it’s time, Regis invites the neighbours to attend the transition. Heather goes first, since she is before Imogene in the alphabetical order.
Imogene attends her birthday in her PJs, and so does Regis. Susanne never found the time to buy some new clothes apparently.

Heather chooses the Fortune aspiration and would like to share her life with a guy who knows how to cook and clean, but doesn’t wear swimsuits.
Imogene chooses Family, and wants a guy with black hair who is a good cleaner, but who’s not into sports.

What's with the wishes for cleanliness? I don't remember if they are neatfreaks themselves and need someone who picks up after themselves, or if they are sloppy and need someone who picks up after them

Rachel continues to excel in her work, and comes home promoted to inventor.

Regis comes home early, promoted to astronaut, thanks to him not letting the son of the general get away with fraudulent behavior.

The girls, who like to gossip, like all teenage girls, have decided on their LTWs. Heather wants to become Cheif of Staff, which is hardly likely, it will take a while before we have the required 1000 inhabitants in Birka.

Imogene wants to celebrate Golden Anniversary, which will take a while, too. It’s not possible before she’s an elder.

Now when all the kids are teenagers, the activity table got sold, and a Don’t wake the Llama game was purchased instead. Frank loves it, and tries to max his gaming enthusiasm while using it.

Then Frank finds a job in the Entertainment career as a Birthday Party Mascot, and can start his career early.

The girls are growing up, but they still love their Ozzy a lot, and play with him autonomously nearly every day. Usually I see guinea pigs starve and die from neglect in my households, but not here!

Frank gets promoted to Mime, but seems to wonder if it’s really a promotion.

It’s a day of promotions! Rachel gets promoted to Researcher, but looks not at all happy. That might be because she heard the bad news that Heather caught the flu again.

We really need someone to start a pharmacy in this town!

Imogene, who is still healthy, maxes her charisma skill and opens another slot in the Entertainment career. Way to go, Imogene!

Frank has been playing so many games that he maxed his enthusiasm in Games, and earned a plaque. Sadly it does nothing for the neighbourhood, but it’s nice for him, anyway!

Then it’s the weekend, and the girls play Don’t wake the llama with their friend Wilma Ottosson-Bixo. If Frank would have been awake he probably would have loved to play, too, since he loves games and has two bolts for Wilma.

Frank gets promoted to barsinger and is still not very happy.
And the next night, the hand-wringing Frank arrives home promoted to Ventroquilist or whatever it’s called. A profession like that should be illegal for many reasons, but mostly on grounds of spelling.

Saturday night is movie night.

Regis: “Ahahaha, my Sim, this movie is funny!”
Rachel: “What? I don’t get it, what’s so funny with an Indian guy saying ‘Birdie nam-nam’?”
Frank: “Ahahaha!!” *slaps his knee

The shower broke down, and since Heather is the mechanical genius of this family she fixes it. They do afford to hire help, but why should they when Hether has maxed her mechanical skills?

I wonder if Imogene is a Knowledge sim in disguise. She maxes her Logic skill while playing chess with her sister on Sunday.

Then, all of a sudden, it's Sunday night, and both Regis and Rachel are growing up to elders. Especially Rachel looks lovely still!

Next stop - Maryland!
