8.6 Close to Divorce
Week 8 at the Maryland residence starts off with Liz being mad at Ludde.
The Maryland family consists of:
-Liz Maryland, Fortune adult, LTW to earn 100.000§. She owns Maryland Garden Supplies, which is at level 3 at the moment. She also has a career in Music.
-Ludde Maryland, Fortune adult, LTW to own 5 successful businesses. He owns Ludde’s Spa and is a cheating bastard.
-Julianne Maryland, child
-Kaylynn Maryland, child
As she is pretty fed up with Ludde, Liz wishes circles around her other lover, Sanjay Ramaswami. I really think there is time for a change in this family.
She goes inside to fight with Ludde and becomes best friends with him again. Sims are strange! I had planned to break them up, but now I don't know.
The twin girls, Julianne and Kaylynn have their breakfast before heading off to school. Ludde will stay at home to cure his flu.
Liz continues her musical career and gets promoted to Battle of the Bands judge, while Julianne invites Melvin Colorado and his father Cyrus for a smustle.
In the evening, when Ludde’s still at work (he went there despite his flu), Liz invites Sanjay over. She really, really missed him! But, since she’s completely exhausted, she goes to bed instead of hanging out with Sanjay.
Liz store Maryland Garden Supplies is coming along fine and reaches level 4.
With the level 4 business, Liz realizes she needs some help to keep up with demand, so she employs Gunnel Colorado to restock.
The Maryland family never had a nanny. First, they had no money, and later, Ludde and Liz has had opposite schedules. Now, however, both of them are working afternoons/nights, and the house is empty when the girls come home from school. Julianne calls the nanny herself, but we get a warning before she arrives
For the last time this season, the water wiggler is used for amusing the neighbourhood kids. Soon it will become too cold. And additionaly, the girls will grow up tonight!
Same old, same old pictures of kids blowing out their birthday candles. Kaylynn goes first this time.
Kaylynn walks in her parents’ footsteps and decides she wants to aim for Fortune. She will go there by becoming a city Planner. Luckily there is an opening in that career, just need to find an employer!
Julianne is rebellious and chooses the Pleasure aspiration and an LTW of having 50 dreamdates :/
I don't know what's up with the girls' dislike of red hair!
Maryland Garden Supplies are taking off and reaches level 5. That’s good news for the development of the city, since it opens a slot in the Natural Science career.
And at home Liz continues with the gardening work. Luckily she likes it!
Ludde goes back to his spa and salon and immediately reaches level 3.
Then he goes back to work and gets promoted to Cat Burglar and later Counterfeiter. It seems to be Ludde’s week this week!
Friday evening, Julianne decides to start her dreamdating, and orders a blind date from the gypsy (since services are allowed in Birka nowadays). She pays 5000§ to get a good candidate.
It’s the mechanical guy and his name is Olivia! I sense bad vibes for this neighbourhood’s future...
While her daughter’s date with an adult man with a girl’s name continues, Liz gets promoted to Roadie.
Julianne gets her first kiss stolen by Olivia, who thanks her for the date with a peck on the cheek.
During the weekend, Julianne and Kaylynn goes to Club Maggan to buy cellphones and to take some pictures. The first try wasn’t too good
The next one was better, though!
In the evening, the headmaster is invited, and he really likes fish. Ludde cooks perch with zucchini and the girls are in!
Now when the twins are going to attend private school, we suddenly remember that they never learned to study as kids, since the family was utterly dysfunctional at that time. Now Liz and Ludde made up, and can attend to other things than hating each other. And we didn't have a divorce.
Next stop - Colorado!
