Well, so I'm not being as efficient as I had hoped. I have recently applied to three temp agencies, and one thinks that they may actually have a job for me! This job would be about as good as it's going to get: In Glendale Heights (15 mins from my parents house), Office work, starts soon, ends August 1st. Perfect! I have to call them back today at 3pm to get the 411. God, I need this job. I can't wait much longer or I seriously will not have the money to pay all that I owe. I am finally getting better about not spending money I don't have. I may fianlly be able to pay everything off...i hope, I hope...
I went up to Madison, WI on Monday. it was awesomely Brat Fest 2006! Christa Lowe moved up there after last year, but now ::trumpet fanfare:: she may come and move to DeKalb with me!!!! Oh, I heart when the universe solves my problems. Just goes to show, most of my life is out of my control, and that's ok.
Another happy note, Eric called two days ago. I love talking hearing from all of my friends, and especially him since he's gone all summer. I'm never very good at long phone calls, however. So I'm chronically both tempted to call him all the time and to never call him at all. I'll wait until something cool happens and then let give him a ring. there is nothing worse than a phone call with nothing to talk about.
Other than that, I spent yesterday with Carla. That was nice. She's moved out to Mt. Prospect. Oddly enough, we ran into a guy I went to High School with on the way to play tennis who works at the Mt. Prospect Bank where she is applying. Smaaaaallll World. I also spent today sending emails off to more graduate schools. I'm getting more and more nervous about going to far away from home, so I sent emails to U of I, U Mich, U Wisc, and Indiana University. Ugh, I've had such a disdain for Indiana, but my mother has been yappin' about it for years and years. And finally, someone not terrible is going there (aka Kerry O'Brien) and I mean, and email never hurt anybody. So I look forward to these faculty emailing me back, and then I canshell out big bucks applying to these 4 extra places. That puts me right now at 7 schools. I'm thinking U Wisc would be the first to get booted off the list, but this is still like $300 bucks to apply everywhere. Oh, my education mistress.
