The heat baked me alive
Yup, it's true. So today was time for my half yearly dental check up and I was really dreading it last night (who would actually love going to the dentist?) but this morning on my way there, I thought "I can make myself enjoy it more if I think of the cute cats that hang out there". My dental surgery keeps these 2 cats (maybe three?) but god knows where they'd disappeared to today! They weren't in the reception room sitting on the sofa and I couldn't spot them in the garden either so I felt kinda let down. XD But the check up wasn't too bad; I had some X-rays taken and my dentist told me about some wisdom teeth that may or may not pop through. ;_; What really killed me was the heat... all the way to and back. Peter Jones nearby is a nice place to go into for shelter if you want to avoid the heat as they have AC (in fact, any department store would do) but the weather's really awful no matter how you look at it. Temperatures in London are so high I may as well be living in Greece or somewhere hot in the Mediterranean!
The trip back was crap as well. The bus felt like a greenhouse and there was some American woman chatting to her mother on the phone behind me, and nobody could help overhearing the convo but it distracted me from the heat. XD Then onto food shopping. I got literally no food at all.. just a salad, lots and LOTS of fruit, plenty of fruit juice and stuff like that. How is it possible to eat hot food when it's this hot? ;_;
