Wow, I think I'm getting fed up of people's repeated attempts to defraud me on eBay. Obviously people would as it's quite an expensive item (and it's not mine, I'm just auctioning it for family) but are people that stupid to think anything less than a straightforward and honest dealing will get me to ship them the item without them having to spend a penny? And this is the second time!!!
The first time is a guy who was a newly registered member with zero feedback. (tbh, my policy should be that people will no feedback shouldn't be allowed to bid, although I have a feeling feedbacks can be faked so it makes no difference!) His request was that he be allowed to "collect the item in person"...... despite the auction stating this item will be only be sent by Special Delivery?! Why is it that people can't read? But it was more like "no of course you may not collect it, you could be a paedophile/rapist/serial killer/terrorist for all I know and like hell anyone is going to give you something expensive in person". This time I thought I'd sold the item successful XD "There's no way anyone could screw me over a second time right?!" Wrong. My Paypal funds are low so I'd appreciate some money going into it, but...... I'm not that desperate yet. Despite the buyer living in the US, I agreed to sell it to him because I wanted the business. Ok, so he lives in the US but wants the item shipped to a "friend" of his who is on missionary in Africa. Okay... I'll send it anywhere you want as long as you pay me! But nooo he doesn't pay me and I doubt he will! I asked for this-and-this amount in USD but he made it like he was going to pay me an extra $15-20! The next morning I get an email from this man/woman/person saying "don't contact me anymore at this address, it's been hacked!"... oh really? And here's the funniest part! I also get these emails in my mailbox, saying BXX RXXXXXX (the person's whole name is censored) has paid this person (the buyer) £4550 to his Paypal or some stupid crazy amount when my item is not even 1/10th of that! I guess it must be a glitch. Why would I care about a transaction that doesn't involve me? O.o And then there's a reply of that message to me saying I've been paid, sent from some bogus looking Paypal address. Then this person emails me with his new email (because his old one was hacked, apparently) saying "I've paid you. Can you send the item to this address in Africa..."
The bastard IMO paid himself with another Paypal account, and then forwarded the receipt to me to look as if he'd paid me but it's just so badly set up! And I wasn't born yesterday....
And I don't care how but I doubt the item will be sold to him/her. By hook or by crook I'll get my final value fee (or whatever) back which is the money I paid for listing the item! The item will be re-auctioned and this item I should say in big fat red letters "IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN THE UK, CANNOT PAY ME THROUGH PAYPAL IN 7 WORKING DAYS AND ARE A DUMBWIT WHO CANNOT READ PLEASE DO NOT BID"
