This is the definitive 'I am an asexual' conversation. Of the week, anyway.

Ivy: That's great. So the choice is between doing someone and doing something. XD
Ivy: So glad I'm asexual, then. XD
Bari: Ivy you're lucky
Ivy: Most people possessing sex drives tell me that.
Bari: you are though
Ivy: ...Then there's the chosen few who look at me funny.

but then it goes on to detail that people who are Korean should wear kimonos and people who are Belgian should wear lederhosen.

Wait, what, what? Are you sure that's not just a prank craigslist ad or a snowball rumor? I remember hearing 'ethnic garb', but no further...

...

......

Are you sure? o_O

Deedee Rickets, the casting director for the film, said she is looking to cast men and women ages 18 to 65 and children ages six to 15. Casting officials are seeking candidates with military or martial arts experience, athletes, gymnasts and people of various races and cultures.

"We want you to dress in traditional cultural ethnic attire," she said. "If you're Korean, wear a kimono. If you're from Belgium, wear lederhosen."

Uh.

Wow. I'm right along with hoping this is all just a massive troll.

I still can't believe people are still passing off the upset fandom as "Lolfantards who only want KAWAII AZNS in their weeaboo shit." No. No.

Right, because it's not like racism in Hollywood is a legitimate complaint that applies across the board to other martial arts films and American adaptations of Asian films/stories. Sokka and Katara look totally white. And Bei Fong? There's a surname straight from Leave It To Beaver and other wholesome American sitcoms.

I wonder if people who claim that have even watched the damn show.

I'd list all the other ridiculous points I've had thrown back at me, but they're all pretty much covered by the "Avatar race fail bingo" card. Seen it?

Oh, yes. I've read some of the less-than-breathtaking opposing arguments on forums, too. Every day I lose faith in humanity I didn't even know I had.

Right, because hanbok is too hard to pronounce or something. Where have you been? ALL Asians wear kimonos and wield katanas!

I'm reminded of Margaret Cho's Asian chicken salad sketch. "THIS IS NOT...SALAD OF MY PEOPLE."

I know, that is SO innaccurate. Only the Dutch speaking Belgians wear lederhosen!! The French speaking ones all wear red striped shirts, berets, curly mustaches, and long pieces of bread.
