The twin cries of idiots and antisemites.
First, there's "proportional response", as in "Israel is not using a proportional response." I don't get it. 100-to-1 is a proportion, so what's the big deal? Oh, wait, they mean "similar in strength to". Yet we all know what they'd say if Israel fired a rocket at civilians for every rocket and mortar fired at ours.
What they really mean is "Israel does not have a right to defend itself." They just don't have the guts to be honest, so they wrap it in nonsensical phrasing.
Then there's the "international call for restraint." 60+ years of a war declared by Arabs against Israel's very existence, years of Arab terror attacks, and tens of thousands of rockets barraging Israel almost daily for many years, and it's only when Israel responds that the UN, EU and other apologists make their calls for "calm" or "restraint." How many times have the UN Human Rights Commission, the General Assembly, the Security Council or any EU organization clearly come out and say that calls to destroy a nation are wrong, that terror against any civilians (not just against non-Jews) is terror, and that Islam needs to calm down and leave the way of jihad? Ummm, zero...
