OHHHHH MYYYYYY GOOOOOOODDDDD!!!! (literally)
Yeah, so I don't think I'll make it to sleep tonight. On Monday, my sister decided to be impulsive and went to an online broker to get tickets to Spamalot, and paid a pretty penny, but it was TOTALLY worth it. We got the entire cast, no understudies, and the show was incredibly good. Organized chaos and some of the funniest people on the planet. Not to mention, TIM in the flesh, and I'm not talking about the enchanter. The chewing of words and rounded vowels. Man.
And if that weren't amazing enough, Maryann and I are sitting near the back row (F@#K the back row!) and I look back and see Eric Idle himself talking to the Stage Manager. Then, he moves over to the other side and has a chat with MIKE NICHOLS!!!!!! AND THEEEEEEEEEEEEN, I look to my right, and seated in four rows up in the aisle...
JOEL GREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't mean to be a Lancelot about the whole thing, but it was so surreal to be surrounded by so much talent.
THEN, after the show, something even more amazing happened, but you'll have to wait dear readers for your humble narrator to catch his breath and try to get to sleep.
