This weekend has been pretty unusual.
( Only one adventure, otherwise, much laziness ensued )

It's snowing today. It's really f*cking cold out, or it was when I got up, which was not much after it starting snowing. When I woke up, it was 9F. It's 18F now. Still snowing. When it's this cold, any snow becomes slippery because of the ice underneath. This resulted in Traffic and me spending an hour and fifteen minutes getting to work. *sigh* We ( Read more... )

Yay! I made a coat! Okay, the hems aren't done and there aren't any buttons or snaps, but everything else is done. I even made my own shoulder pads. Oooh, couture.

My contacts are hating me now.

Here's with sleeves. The left one is sewn in, the right one still pinned. The left shoulder has an ersatz shoulder pad in it, the right one not. I had tinkered with the sleeve pattern because it was too tight in the chest, so I reduced the cap. Now I'm thinking I reduced it too much.
