Remix Madness reveal (x2)
The Madness round of Remix is for the equivalent of treats in other exchanges; you can remix anything by participants who have opted in. I wrote two stories for Madness.
First, I remixed It looked easier on paper by
Lady_Ganesh, which was written for ME in the Multi Fandom Drabble Exchange earlier this year. (Partly as a thank-you, partly because I couldn't resist the "pottery...TO THE DEATH" tag she'd used; canonically in the Hotel Valhalla every activity is "to the death" as the einherjar are heroes who died bravely and were taken by the Valkyries, and they battle endlessly as practice for Ragnarök, and are 'resurrected' after every death.) I also couldn't resist the title I chose, which despite having a parenthetical is not actually a funky remix title, and I blame
china_shop for having written me (years ago)the White Collar/due South story Don't Kill the Messenger (he's already dead) and putting the phrase in my head, though the silly pun is entirely my own fault. Also I wanted to remix a drabble into a drabble, and oops, I suspect now the story notes are longer than the story!
