Don't get me wrong,  I love (school) work- free summers just as much as the next person, but at the same time I tend to get bored, irritable, and insecure in the summer. Still, the awkwardness persists. I don't know what my malfunction is, but I feel like I'm going through puberty again. Good Lord, it's terrible. You know, Kerry, you wouldn't feel so much like you were living in middle school if you would just keep your mouth shut. Also, stop being so obvious, if you can help it. Just go with the flow. Chill out, it's not worth the aggravation. This isn't the way this works, how did you forget? STOP BEING STUPID.

I can track the clouds that fly above you and watch a map of the ground below you but it doesn't bring you any closer to me.

With her I forgot about feeling and wallowed in contentment. Contentment is a feeling you say? Are you sure it's not an absence of feeling? I liken it to that particular numbness one gets after a visit to the dentist. Not in pain nor out of it, slightly drugged. Contentment is the positive side of resignation.
