*has a geeking moment*

You guys know me.... gotta be geeky every once in a while ^^;

So, I think I've mentioned that my laptop dual boots windows & Linux - specifically Ubuntu. Well, yesterday, something happened to my audio and I decided to just reinstall Ubuntu. But I couldn't find my old 8.10 disk, so I decided to try 9.04 (the current version), and I got my audio book. The crappy thing is, the streaming video on 9.04 sucks!!! like seriously! I tried several different "fixes", I even went to LaunchPad - Ubuntu's debugging community. Apparently 9.04 shipped with crappy support for Intel Graphics cards - which is what my laptop has. The thing is, 9.10 is coming out officially in 21 days - but they have open Beta out now and according to LaunchPad the support is already fixed in 9.10 but they've /yet/ to fix it in 9.04.

So I took a chance and installed 9.10 Beta. There are a few frustrating things about it, but they're easily fixed with a simple google search. I heart Google... it knows all.

The joyful thing is - the streaming video is nice and smooth again.

On a TOTALLY different note:

The Power Mat Wireless Charging Station

I lust for it.
