Equivalence? I suppose it's something like not being more or less than each other, right? Or is that just being equal? The dictionary here says that the two involved subjects are interchangeable. But if equivalence is just about being equal, that's more than being interchangeable. I mean, I know that Christopher and Cat aren't interchangeable, but ( Read more... )

Suppose you and someone else are both very good at, say, mathematics. You're interchangeable in that regard. But that that you are very good at making paper airplanes and the other person is very good at making paper boats. If I am in need of a paper airplane, you're not interchangeable anymore.

But there's still equivalence in both and all.
