Today, better than yesterday
Got the money thing sorted for now. The car's still making a sound that bothers me, but it drives fine and no check engine lights are showing up. I'm going into work late next Tuesday anyway (primary elections, which means I'll be at work until 10 p.m.), so I'll have a real mechanic take a listen to it then.
Otherwise, we're looking at places in KC tomorrow, we get to have BBQ with friends at the Sunday game, and I'm going on vacation/training in a week or so.
Now all we need is to hear good news about our friends getting jobs, and things would be pretty good.
