Amazing what a little sunshine can do.  Today was glorious, not too hot, not humid, sunny, beautiful.  I got to spend an hour at a soccer game watching my kid play,  talking to my ex-husband's ex-girlfriend .... very pleasantly, I might add.  Its amazing how things turn out sometimes.   So no cobwebs there.  And the kid kicked the only goal for his ( Read more... )

So my kid plays soccer.  I drive him to practice and to games.  Suddenly, I am a soccer mom.  I don't live in the suburbs.  I don't drive a mini-van.  I don't consider myself an "independent," I try not to vote Republican.  I lack a husband.  My life seems chaotic.  But nonetheless, I seem to be a soccer mom.  How did that happen?  Am I in a ( Read more... )
