#TeamDRVC...

I was actually thinking of takyttik82 / Aaliyah's annual fund raising.  And takyttik82 posted on famchat about it today.  It's selling subscriptions to The Tablet.  Hm...  I mean...  As my subject says, I'm #TeamDRVC...  The website says it has other stuff besides Diocese of Brooklyn news...  National / International, but I get my "Catholic News" from Reddit mostly.  Formerly Twitter till it became X...  I mean, I'm willing to just get a subscription to donate.  Mom was then all gung ho and wanted to give more than the $25, but if I read right...  That still only gets you 1 subscription?  The only way to get more is to end up paying for another person's subscription?  So...  I asked Mom what she wanted to do.  And she's not answer my Q...

Lol.  I spammed family chat with reminders to get Ginger and Teddy blessed.  I even went to their nearest parish websites / bulletins to get the actual info.  I then chatted with "Ginger" (kumquatqueen?) and told her to fake an injury or illness so 7500centfish or whoever can sneak out of work and bring her.  HAHAHAHa!!!  Jhumna mentioned Jasmine's dog.  But she's in Florida...  Masstimes.org!  Lol.  I even looked up Copper.  The 2 closest parishes to Jennie didn't have any mention, so...  I think the 3rd closest is only 3 miles away...

Bear Grylls has been posting...  Overtly Christian posts and...  At least for me personally I have always been aware of his faith.  The first time I saw his show I noticed he crossed himself as he jumped out of a helicopter so...  I looked up if he was Catholic.  He is not...  I'm assuming he was baptised Anglican, but he seems to be more non denom / low church Anglican, even when he crosses himself.  I know he is an ambassador for Alpha...  He even wrote in his book that he and his wife planned(, but never says if he succeeded) to save themselves for marriage.  Anyway, he posted 2 days ago a pic of him being "baptised" in the Jordan and encouraged people to read the Gospel of Luke.  Most of the comments were congratulatory / praising him.  I saw 1 that was like basically not interested.  But...  Yeah, it seemed like a lot of people are unaware of his faith.  Then today, he posts a vid of him jumping out of a helicopter crossing himself again.  So I wonder...  He is changing direction in some way?  Being more vocal about his faith?  So yeah, interesting.

On Sunday when we had come home Mom had called Aunt Pitat and for some reason cremation came up.  Mom had told her cremation isn't allowed, etc, etc.  When she hung up, I said...  The current teaching is, it's preferred to be buried (whole I guess, because technically I won't be buried).  If you are being cremated they prefer it is after the funeral Mass.  In the past it was not allowed because the reasons were the denial of the resurrection, and nihilism and the like.  But now due to circumstances like...  Many can't afford anything besides cremation they allow it.  But like I said, even then...  They prefer the body be present for the Mass, the ashes cannot not be separated and must be placed in a consecrated space, either buried or in a columbarium.  Mom then called her back.  "So why did X" so and so...  They probably didn't know any better...
