Mom says I no longer need to change.

I wore my darker wash "skinny" jeans, they're actually jeggings...  But also my "pirate" blue and white striped shirt with a black hoodie to Mass this AM.  I'm thinking of dressing it up a bit.  Maybe sub the hoodie for a cardigan and maybe wear my brown boots?  Give it a fall vibe.  Or maybe the cardigan and the converse?  As always, I asked 7500centfish and kumquatqueen for advice.

Dream.  I felt like it was more snippets.  At least of what I remember of it.  I was at Mass, standing in the back and during the the homily Fr. I was talking about social media and navigating it...  Weird.  I'll get to that later.  He mentioned not taking offense if someone doesn't fave a post.  He mentioned being on facebook, instagram, some social media site I haven't heard of.  But when he mentioned it, it seemed like a platform a lot of kids were on, so there was a wave of "you're on" x?  Going through the crowd.  At a point it was as if everyone was chanting this site.  The congregation became distracted, chatty and...  People began to leave, not out of disrespect, but the fact the Mass has gone for so long.  I was then on a bus driving down the road.  We actually stopped by the "B's" (our relative through marriage) and dropped someone off there.  Barbara Eden was standing on the curb to welcome the person and it seemed like no one knew she was Barbara Eden, nor that was her child.  The bus then...  I can't describe it other than it had the ability to drive backwards, like the driver's seat could face in either direction and it started to back up, but then from the back of the vehicle it turned around anyway and drove me home.  It was then I realized we had left Mass early, and haven't received.  But I didn't really have a choice because I was taking the bus and had to leave when it left.  I then remember seeing someone take some sort of personal tunnel, well it was more for objects than people, but it transported items through the ground.  This particular one was going to Australia and it took like 8 hours to go through the ground to get there.  But then a man decided to try it.  I was then in a car thinking of this about how I can take one that connected to California, which only took and hour 30 and...  Eventually commute there daily for work.  In the car was also 7500centfish and as we were driving I started to see meteorite chunks being disintegrated in the sky.  It was daylight and there were a bunch of them falling.  I then thought we had destroyed a near earth asteroid and all the chunks were falling toward earth.

Mass.  Burn from Jesus in today's Gospel!  But Fr. I's homily wasn't so much of a burn.  Lol.  I won't deny my parish is fortunate.  I just noticed a new rock feature that wasn't there yesterday and they're building some sort of structure for our outdoor statue of Mary...  And when we had that shoe box drive many people took more than 1 box to fill.  We supplement another church's pantry, etc, etc.  So...  His homily was about how essentially we are born poor.  Even if our parents are rich, it's not our wealth.  He gave examples of readings mentioning the poor will always be there.  He said it's an opportunity to humble ourselves.  In addition, he mentioned the gap between the Rich Man and Lazarus.  Saying the gap between heaven and earth is one of charity.  That hit me...

Lol.  I invited Ginger to the year's Blessing of the Amnimals.  It's a Tuesday...  7500centfish already declined.  Lol.  One day Ginger.  One day...  cc kumquatqueen

Anyway, the weird thing I mentioned...  After Mass, they announced a lecture on the use of social media they will be having this week.  It's meant for teens / their parents, but they ended the announcement with non married adult parishioners are welcome as well.  I kinda wanted to go...  But I fear Mom will want to come with.  Like I said, it's meant for teen and...  I'm also hesitant to go to Vocation prayer meeting at the seminary.  It's often advertised for people in HS to 35.  Like...  I feel like I was late to the game.  That I'm in a group of forgotten people.  There is an obvious need for youth in the church.  "Boomers" are the stereotypical / biggest group.  I'm not married with a young family either, so...  If anything I can say I'm interested because I work in pediatrics...  A few weeks later they'll have a lecture on the Theology of the Body...

Youtube vid on Ancient art actually being colored.  Saying people today are "scared" of color.  But then...  They mention Renaissance artists like Michaelangelo, who in their white marble rebelled against the church / Christianity.  Liberation from the dogma, etc.  Say what?
