Fake Asian!
Went to that Hawaiian place and confirmed it is not Hawaiian. The inside was decorated like a typical Chinese food place. But like I said, it advertises Hawaiian BBQ, sushi and ramen. I was then thinking... OK, they have bubble tea. But it's not like they have shave ice! I was looking on yelp and it seems like the food is pretty high rated, cheap, yet good. But... One commented it's not Hawaiian. They'll probably go back, but it's not Hawaiian. I'd honestly rather go to the older / more "Traditional" Chinese place down the strip mall. It's been there longer and... Your bubble tea isn't gonna sway me. In other news... My coworker who is a Kpop fan is excited I discovered the bubble tea. Said she was gonna go there after work. Lol. I then had to snap "Asian" pics and post them on instagram. ✌️😄 HAHAHAH!!! But because I drank that I haven't been able to drink my regular drink. Then tea always makes me feel thirsty, but so bloated! cc 7500centfish
There was an actual doctor in today. Seemed like she saw patients non stop between 1 and 6... I was able to sneak away at some point to get lunch. But it was weird. Seemed really dead till the doctor came and we're suddenly getting phone calls. Anyway... I was there past 6 because she had to finish her charts. I texted Marna that I had stayed late for that reason. I better get paid for it... It fits her criteria of more than 30 mins. So...
Lol. Some patient called this AM... Probably thought I was Marna and kept calling me "Doctora". I mean, it's not a lie... But yeah, not Marna.
Dream. I just remember Dad coming into my room saying he was gonna fix my roof and... Like half my room was completely cleared of everything while the other was messy. Because of that I had to shower downstairs and... The house was busy, people everywhere. And Mom was in the bathroom about to shower, but said I could go ahead, but then wouldn't leave. I saw then standing in a shower with the previous bathwater slowly draining trying to shuffle through my music for something to listen to / waiting for Mom to leave / waiting for the water to drain. Soon, Mom asks me why I'm not showering yet... "Waiting for the water to drain."
Because I gave up coffee for lent... I MISS YOU!!! I brought flavored teas. One brand is Yogi... Someone in a yoga position on the box... Today I noticed the little tabs have little "Inspirational" sayings on them. "Know that you are a child of the universe". Uh... I crossed "the universe" out and wrote "GOD". Honestly it made me smile whenever I saw it...
CSYSK has a new host. A seminarian! The same "age" as when Fr. John started. Age meaning they were both in Theology 2, which is a year away from the deaconate. But it seems like he has been discerning / in that group of friends that whole time? He mentioned being in a bible study with one of the original guys, Joe Doman. Anyway... I have mixed feelings. The title of the ep was "Don't Resent the New Host". A thing I like about the podcast is they don't really comment on current events. Like... They don't comment about politics, social justice issues. I mean... At one point they purposely broke that rule when they commented on the sex abuse scandal. But still... They didn't really touch on those things. And today's episode... About cancel culture and kinda reaching to the other side. Not that that is bad. Just... I don't know. I wasn't feeling it. Like I said I always thought the 4 guys were very orthodox even if they went about things differently. Like Fr. John wears a cassock, Fr. Mike does the same, but with flip flops and a mohawk. But... I've getting a lib cath vibe from the new guy and... Yeah, I dunno.
Tomorrow is Fri and I usually fast from music. I might break my rule because... I've been listening sans ear phones and I don't know how listening to Catholic podcasts will go over with my coworkers... I mean, I've been listening to the Bible in A Year. But Catholic Answers... Yeah, I dunno about that.
I read my instructions from Marna again and noticed it says "2 orchids". So maybe those 2 orchids on the floor are in the dead zone. Lol. kumquatqueen says they are weird. Her orchid at work was flowering after being left there for 2 months.
