I bought candles.

Nov 30, 2021 21:01

Lol...  I mean, I've said, I use them in prayer and...  Why not go all out for God?  I got rose scented ones.  It was buy 4 for $60, which turned out to be 50% off.  It has a burn time of over 100 hours as well.  I wonder how long that will last...  22oz.  They had other candles which were also 22oz, but the burn time was less.  I wonder why...  Also 20oz same price, with a even less burn time.  There is also a Yankee candle store at the outlet mall???  Interesting...

I've been getting a lot of eczema on my hands / wrists.  This weekend I actually got contact dermatitis from my watch band!  Then I've also been getting itchy scratch marks?  And I'm not really prone to allergies.  And the only thing I can see that changed was the drinking of "water" with the flavors or the fake ensure.  Am I allergic to like food coloring?  I don't remember having issues when I used to drink Kool Aid all the time.  Is it artificial sweetener?  I also think I need to water it down because at the end of the day / in the AM I feel thirsty.  I wonder if it's the fact I'm not drinking pure water or the fact I pretty much stop drinking past a certain time.

I really don't have anything else to write.  But as always, don't want to go upstairs to fall asleep and wake up in the middle of the night.  Well...  I did write yesterday, went up and fell asleep at 10 before praying...  I then woke at 4 and had a restless rest of the night.  Ugh.

Oh and I'm trying to finish my water before I go up.  I diluted what I had left and have 16oz left to drink.

Reddit post.  I have seriously never seen anyone respond to how do we know Catholicism is true by saying "You just gotta have faith" or "Well it's survived this long and spread so far, so" on reddit.  I'd say most say it is because we have evidence that Jesus did what he said he would, as in die and rise from the dead.  He claimed to be God and proved it.  I've also heard polytheism doesn't make sense because no one god is all powerful.  Fr. Mike once said all other religions are about us trying to achieve God like status, climbing up the proverbial mountain.  But God came to us.  He sought us.  He became like us...

Texts.
  • Mom's facebook got "hacked" and was sending out friends requests / weird chat messages.  kumquatqueen was able to help Mom change the pword.
  • 7500centfish keeps sending me pics of the aunts eating Filet-o-Fishes.  I was so weirded out the first time I saw them eat fast food which wasn't Chinese food.  But then I told 7500centfish to tell them I no longer see "their classmate" when I get McD on Sunday.

  • This was going around #CatholicTwitter, "degrees of separation with a non-papal saint based solely on people who have physically met".  0.  Me / 1.  My HS health teacher / 2.  Mother Theresa. / My teacher's SIL was a Missionary of Charity.  Mother Theresa answered the door when he visited her once.
  • Faved this tweet to remind myself to read The Pillar's final (?) article on religious attitudes.  Will comment more later.
  • Also faved an EWTN post about this article.  Survey showing younger priests are more conservative, but also see the Church going downhill.  They also say in 2002 that 30% of the laity practice the faith, now they feel it's it's 22%.  Re that last stat...  It can mean many things.  Like...  A person who struggles with sin, yet strives to do good, are they part of the 22 or the 78?

    Reading the Pillar article now.
  • I feel like a lot of it was mentioned in previous articles...
  • I mean, it makes sense, but pretty much if you continued to go to Mass in college you'll continue to go afterward.  As I said, I wonder if I wasn't coming home on the weekends if I would have gone in college.  I think I would.  I mean, I did when I was in Dominica / Miami.
