Well not trolling...  But there was a post on whether you genuflect in other Christian churches.  The OP thought as long as you believe in the Trinity or some generic Christian belief you will be rewarded.  Basically everyone said protestants no, Catholic or Orthodox yes.  Firstly it reminded me of takyttik82's FIL's funeral and Mom genuflected when entering the pew.  LOL!  FYI...  You genuflect in the presence of the Eucharist in the tabernacle.  And if there is no tabernacle, you bow at the altar.  I had a question about Orthodox churches, because I had heard people who cross themselves as they pass churches, don't do so at Orthodox Churches.  I had thought they don't reserve the Eucharist, as in it is all consumed.  But the comments are some don't, many do, mostly during Lent, but also a little for the sick and dying, but not as much as they have in Catholic Churches.  So...  I guess it's OK to cross yourself when passing them.  But...  Some also said it's not a tradition in the Orthodox to genuflect at all, so it shouldn't be done.  So...  Oh yeah, according to the Church teaching, we believe the Orthodox, even when separated from us have valid sacraments.  In case of emergency we are allowed to receive sacraments from them, but...  Orthodox don't want us receiving.  Hm...  Is the opposite the same?  Would an Eastern Rite / RCC church allow an Orthodox to receive?  Anyway, that is your #CatechismLesson for the day!  Oh yeah, shout out to the guy across the aisle who crossed himself as Mr. P's casket passed by.  Catholic???

I tried listening to Godsplaining, but...  For some reason there was no sound.  Like it sounded like it was a one sided convo.  Maybe the other mic was off?  But they were on retreat at the seminary.  There is a vid, so I'll try to watch it.  As I said, Fr. I told me to find a spiritual director there, but yeah...  In addition, they hold week long retreats.

I bought an otoscope so I could look in Mom's ear.  Cerumen impaction.  But I got the notification at work it had been delivered and they sent a picture.  WTF!  It was legit left in the middle of the walkway, not by the door.  Add to that it started to rain as I left work.  I tried to provide feedback via the link, but there was nothing that explained the situation, so I chatted with customer service.  Yeah, basically was not happy b/c it was pretty much exposed to the elements.  Whether it was raining or not, it shouldn't have been left in the walkway.  Like who does that?  So they're escalating it and bringing it up with the local delivery dept.  They verified my complaint with the pic that the driver posted.

My parker pen broke.  Why do they cost like $15 bucks in Staples now???  I bought a new one off Amazon for $10 bucks.  But seriously!

  • I didn't even watch it yet, but I faved it!  Why I hate John Lennon's 'Imagine'.  I admit I used to like it...  In the sense...  There are a lot of songs I like that I disagree with the lyrics on.  For me, I hear the music first before I hear the lyrics and there is something in the melody that grabs me and I then listen to it on repeat.  Not till after the fact do I listen to the lyrics / meaning of the song.
