Buffet breakfast!!
After packing up for our tour day, we got our bus passes (500 yen day pass, regular trip is 220 yen flat rate for adults)
We rode the bus and went straight to Nijo Castle.

Photos weren't allowed inside so I've only got the ones from the outside.

We didn't get to go into the inner castle since my brother and dad were already tired and can't walk any farther.

On the way out...
Castle walls and moat:
We waited for the bus to Kinkakouji. Saw a trashcan:
Arriving at the bus stop near Kinkakouji, we had some lunch first in a small cafe. They only had limited rice meals. I ended up with curry. It was the spiciest curry I've had in Japan.
After lunch, we walked a couple of blocks to Kinkakouji. On the way, we finally found a stray cat on the streets.
And also saw a vendo... the boss of them all
Near the entrance to Kinkakouji complex, we could see the mountain near by:

And the Kinkakouji (Golden Pavilion)
I know I have better shots on film but they're still in my camera. I need to have those developed as soon as the roll is finished.
And like with the Nijo castle, we didn't go further. We went back through where we went in and took a little more photos.
Outside, there was a store with a vendo machine outside. I just found this character cute:
We walked back to the bus station. On the way back we found a few stores and bought some things. If you've noticed the floral background I've been using, I bought that there. It's a big scarf that you can fold/knot into a bag. We also found some giant green tea pocky in one of the stores there.
Also saw another vendo with interesting stuff in it:
We rode the bus and after several stops, we finally arrived back to Kyoto Station
After dropping off our stuff in our rooms, we went right back out to the cold weather and went to bic camera.
I finally got the A/V cable for the walkman as well as the indigo ONTO.
We went down to Porta for dinner.
We ended up in a soba restaurant. The restaurant had no English menu so we just pointed at what we wanted to eat. After dinner, we went back to the station to grab some more snacks etc.
It was a pretty photo heavy day. It showered a little bit so I had to keep the camera after a while.
So that's it for day 6. I will be adding more pics when they're developed.
Get lost day 7 will be up next.
