Sam never asked Dean to bring him back, Dean started alll of this!
Exactly. I said the same thing. I usually hate it when either of the boys are blaming themselves for all the bad things going on in the world, but in this case it really IS Dean's fault. I don't blame him for breaking the first seal, 'cause really, aside apparently from John, who could have survived that much time in hell and not break? But Dean would not have been in hell to break that seal if he didn't sell him soul. He didn't think about what it would do to Sam. He couldn't let go, couldn't live without Sam and Sam was the one to pay the price. When Sam died, he was completely human. He didn't have to deal with any of this crap. Dean's responsible for it. Obviously he did it out love, I get that. But he did the exact same thing Sam is doing now (sacrificing himself for his brother) but he's judging Sam for it.
Well, people see things from Dean's POV because that's all we get on the show. And if you're not watching for things that are between the lines, the things that are beneath the surface, then yeah, all you see is Dean's POV. But Jared did a magnificent job in the shadows, in the little time he did get, especially this season. Because none of the revelations in 4.21 were really a surprise to somebody who was paying attention to Sam.
I am very curious about Castiel and why the heck he let Sam out. That was the only shocker this season for me. I so did not expect that.
I gave up on Sam/Jared Hate to go away. It's been there from the begining and will be there 'till the end. Whatever. We know the truth.
I do wonder how the heck Kripke is going to get the boys out of this mess. I mean, he's got 22 episodes to fill and it can't all be about apocalypse and the boys being completely separated. Right? Right? *bites nails*
Sam broke my heart over and over again. I just watched that episode again. And Sam tried so hard, dammit. He tried to get Dean to understand. No wonder the boy snapped when Dean said the 3 words that were his biggest fear.
