Did my final presentation last night for my Supervisory Management class. I think I nailed it--addressed all the required aspects of the project and made the class laugh a lot. I have an unfair advantage on these, though--I teach and I perform, so talking in front of people doesn't scare me. It's a lot harder for other people to get up in front of the class--I can remember having stage fright when I was younger. So I tend to feel like I'm cheating to a certain extent, you know? Still, I'm glad it went well. Next week is my last Monday night class--huzzah! It'll be nice to have that weeknight back. And I can go back to grocery shopping on Mondays, too :)
So that was an Irene-is-smart story. Want an Irene-is-an-idiot one?
I wore my knee-high doc martins to Faire this past Saturday. Because they're a massive pain in the ass to lace up, I don't wear them terribly often. Apparently they were not completely broken in. I now have a dime-sized patch of skin on my right heel and a quarter-sized patch of skin on my left heel missing courtesy of blisters-of-doom. It sucks, they really hurt. And I can't wear any shoes with backs on them (like sneakers) which is kind of screwing my workout routine at the moment.
Ah well, live, learn, rinse, repeat.
I'm planning to bring in a bunch of cut herbs to class on Thursday to teach everyone how to make smudges (in addition to the planned Laying On of Stones). If anyone has an over-abundance of fragrant herbs, they're welcome to add them to the pile. I'll be bringing patchouli, sage and some lavender. I'm a little disappointed in our lavender harvest this year--for some reason they never really took off. We have more patchouli and sage than we know what to do with, though, so that's good.
And that's my Tuesday report.
Please stroke my egg? ;)

I'll have to come up with another name for a red dragon now....hmmm.....
