Monday ramblings
Happy Birthday to roseotterwulf !!!!!
Went to the MD Renfaire yesterday with Dad, revelrain, whiteknucklejoe and katie_r_doherty . Had a ridiculously good time and feel surprisingly okay today considering my level of indulgence yesterday ;) I'm really glad we ended up going on a Sunday--it wasn't as insanely crowded as good weather often brings out on a Saturday...
I bought a new ritual dish and chalice from Dancing Pig Pottery for the rituals I lead at Esoterica. I designed the ones I currently use at a paint-your-own-pottery place and while they're okay, they're just not as beautiful as the Dancing Pig ones. The new set is green (of course) and the dish has the names of the High Holidays running around its rim. The chalice matches and has white swirls and a pentagram around the rim. Very reasonably priced too, imho, for hand-made ritual ware. Now to cleanse and consecrate :D
Also was repeatedly blessed (i.e. had acorns tucked into my cleavage) by a roaming band of green men. Brought them home (the acorns, not the green men) and stuck them on our hearth altar--I like what that group is doing with the idea of the Green Man. It's nice to see an old piece of mythology come bouncing back to life in new ways.
Drank cider. Lots and lots of cider. lol And ate good food--fish and chips, turkey leg, cheesecake on a stick...probably other stuff that I was too inebriated to remember. Lots of sit-ups for me this week...
Sangre de Gaia grew up, so I bred her with Icefalcon and they made an egg!

Looks like the new baby's going to look like his/her Mommy.
Tonight's my presentation and closing project for my Supervisory Management class. It's an eight week, compressed course. Last freaking time I do that. Although I'm getting good grades, I feel like I'm more regurgitating memorized information than actually learning. I'd rather spend more time and really learn the material. So I have my presentation this evening, then next Monday's class and it's over. It'll be nice to have that particular one off my plate. Because it's compressed, you have to do a LOT of homework. I have more homework from that one than from the other three put together.
I think that's all the news that's fit to print....hope everyone has a good Monday :)
