After the final battle, Harry wants to sleep for a week. But there is so much to do, and he ends up staying awake for a long time after. Too long. Exhausted, almost asleep on his feet, he finally staggers up to Gryffindor tower and into his old four-poster. He draws back the curtains and, without looking, starts to sit down when he hears a squeak. Ginny is waiting for him, smiling and crying at the same time.
Harry buries his face in her hair and inhales deeply, smelling the comforting, familiar scent of Ginny, and knows: he is home.
