Looking for a fanfic
Hi, I'm new to the community. :) I'm looking for an old Inuyasha/Kagome fanfic, I hope you could help me.
After Naraku has been defeated, Inuyasha hears a voice calling to him and follows it in a trance. After a while Kagome looks for Inuyasha and sees him with "Kikyou" in the forest. "Kikyou" then proceeds to drag Inuyasha to hell with her, launching an arrow towards Inuyasha. However Kagome intervenes and is hit by the arrow, inadvertently being dragged to hell in Inuyasha's stead. Inuyasha snaps out from his trance but couldn't save Kagome in time.
Inuyasha finds out that the "Kikyou" he saw wasn't really the real Kikyou (it was an apparition of hate or something?) because Kikyo already passed on (due to canon events). Inuyasha then goes on a journey in hell to save Kagome. While he's in hell, Inuyasha finds a (black?) cat who guides him through hell. Near the end he realizes that the cat was Kikyou (reincarnated) who came to help him find Kagome.
In the last chapter, Inuyasha and Kikyou (the cat) find Kagome pinned to a tree by an arrow, similar to how Kagome first found Inuyasha pinned to the Goshinboku. Now this part is where it gets a bit hazy, they run to Kagome but is met with obstacles. I think there were lots of demons who were after Kagome for her power or there was a shield around the tree where Kagome was? Then the fic ends in a cliff hanger where Inuyasha was just about to reach Kagome.
That's all that I can remember and I think I mixed up some of the details. The fic was still incomplete when I last read it, that was a few years ago now.
