Prologue: May 10th is National Small Business Day. One of those are these cute little mom and pop restaurants or locally owned cafes and dive-ins. This series brings forth those little nuggets of places that I visit for my meals.
Watching Wicked movie was on the agenda, but we didn’t have Hibachi on mind. Anyways, neither Wicked nor Hibachi impressed me much. Movie didn’t feel that great as it was hyped, may be because I already had seen the Broadway version of it in theatre so my mind was comparing to it. As for Hibachi, it was surprising to see Chef cook in front of you, fun to see the process but food did not appeal us, too much Soy Sauce.
Verdictum: Decently priced, fun to watch Chef cook, but if you are not fan of soy sauce, then this is NOT your cup of tea.
Here are some fun Wicked pictures.
Here are my 2 cents:
First Impressions:
1) Decent ambience and courteous staff. Although we saw several table empty, perhaps we went on a Sunday night.
2) Fun to watch the Chef cook right in front of you where he comes with all his ingredients in a cart.
3) My friend's daughter got a smiling balloon at the end of the meal.
4) Food was decently priced.
5) Here is a fun video of the Chef cooking. He had fire on the stovetop and was fun to watch.
Amelioration:
1) If they could reduce the soy sauce and add some chilli flakes, the food would be amazing.
