Hectic week

But in the end, Will and I are together again and to take a line from facebook, it was complicated but now behind us.

First week of classes = ew
I think everyone forgot how to write a syllabus. Syllabi should not do the following things:
1. Be split into several pieces. One with a course outline but no schedule. The second, non-syllabus part, with the grade breakdown, etc.
2. Not list exam dates. It's ok when you don't list all of them because schedules do change, but at least tell us when the first one is.
3. Not have reading lists. Hello! I'm a diligent student. I do kind of like to read before class so I have at least heard of 2 or 3 concepts you are talking about even if I don't understand them.

There is much going on. Such as the fact I need to remember how to program in Matlab. NOW. Also, I need to come up with ideas for two honors options, one of which may have to do with systems analysis (not even quite sure what it is yet) in conjunction with my research in the lab. I was in the lab for 5 hours today. And got one measurement done. The measurement itself took 15 minutes. Getting the machine to the right temperature...several hours between the temp. control machine conking out and then oscillating around the correct temperature like a damped spring. The time constant for this spring is longer than I would like. Also it would be good if I had an idea of what I'm supposed to be doing it the lab and to get paid for it. Much to do. Did I mention napster is not being nice to me?
