Les classes

And what I think of them so far:

Bioe 301: Physiological Systems: Could be rather interesting esp. since I like programming once I'm in a programming frame of mind, however, I am not quite there yet. And I need to figure out an honors option for this thing. But, on the good side, we formed a hw group for this class. Big plus.

Bioe 302: See above as lab

Bioe 303: Continuum Mechanics: Could be interesting as the prof is little, Chinese, and vaguely humorous. Unfortunately, the book for this class sucks...a lot. In fact, nearly unreadable. They make a lot of assumptions about prior knowledge that they shouldn't make.

Bioe 313: Bio-thermodynamics: Math oriented. I like that. Instructor (post-doc) seems reasonable interesting although she breezes through the derivations rather quickly.

Matse 201: Seems interesting and the prof has a cool British accent, but it is early in the morning and he teaches with powerpoint. Big snooze potential.

Art 3: On the web. Need I say more? Uber-easy. The prof needs to answer questions directly though. It sucks when you get an email response that really has nothing to do with what you asked.

Colby lab: Read a masters' thesis today and tried to start designing some experiments. It would be nice to get some guidance though since I've never been handed an unfamiliar topic before and asked to design a bunch of experiments.
