Summary: Kota locked himself to the world for 3 years and he even have times that he wanted to die already but he was always stopped by unexpected situation like fate didn't want him to die. After visiting a grieve, he accidentally met the most important person in his life which he thought was already dead. He treated it as an opportunity to fix what he have done wrong to him 3 years ago. But the real aftermath of the nightmare happened that years ago just began when the 5 members of Blazerz received a call stating that he knew everything that happened that night and he was planning to take revenge for the death of Sakura Minato.

-Chapter Thirty One-
"Please don't kill me. I beg you. Please." Kei begged. He run as fast as he can to escape from the bad guy who was following him. He was running out of breathe, his legs were feeling jelly and it was just the adrenaline that was pushing his body to the maximum in order to save his life. Finally he found a place where he can hid himself. He curled his body so that he can hide in that tight space and tried to make his movements as silent as possible. Tears were flowing from his eyes, he was losing all hope to live as he was overwhelmed by extreme fear. He heard footsteps coming closer to him so he covered his mouth with his hand to prevent his heavy breathing. When he move he felt that he touched something and noticed that there was a suspiciously black bag besides him. He was aware that he should not open it but his body moves on its own and opened the bag. He gasped when he saw a bloody female body inside. He crawled away from it while still preventing himself from uttering any sounds. It was Sakura Minato's body, covered in blood from head to toe. Everything flashback to his mind, how Sakura was tortured and killed. Kei felt a sudden pain on his stomach and he vomited.
Kei just stayed there besides Sakura's body but then all of a sudden someone grabbed his left foot and when he take a look it was Sakura's hand and her eyes were glaring at him. He thought that she was already dead but she was still moving despite of all the wounds that she received.
"I’m not dead… I'm not yet dead." she told him.
Kei opened his eyes from that miserable nightmare. He looked at both his right and left side but only pillows was besides him. His whole body was still shaking and his heartbeat didn't stop from beating so fast. No matter how much time passed, the past still torments him and doesn't leave him alone specially now that those people who have connections in his past is one by one showing and that includes the girl in his dream or just a silhouette of her.
Yesterday Kei met Tsubaki Minato, Sakura's twin sister. It was never mentioned in their high school life that Sakura has a twin sister and so he was shocked when he saw her. From head to toe, Sakura's image was embodied in her like she was really the one standing in front of them. She was the split image of that young lady who died 3 years ago and just seeing her made him recall everything that happened that night.
He went to the bathroom and washed his face, the bruises he received when Sano abducted him was still on his body. It was a close call for him. He let his guard down thinking that no one will ever found out the reality that he was alive among the Blazerz since he was in the city for months already but nothing happened. If Yuto didn't save him then for sure he was already lying on his death bed. It was terrifying experience and he felt so weak and vulnerable at the same time. He never imagined that in moments like that, he will be exposed of how weak he was to protect himself. He have no strength at all and he felt so pitiable about himself. If only he was not injured and can used both his legs properly then he still have a chance to cover for himself.
But what's done cannot be undone and now he better need to think about his future steps rather than thinking about the yesterdays he can't change anymore. After 3 years of hiding, one of the members of Blazerz except for Kota, knew that he was still alive and the instance that Sano will relay the message to the other members was high. It means danger and uneasiness to his usual peaceful life. He need to be more cautious and observant to his surroundings if he wanted to live. But can he really do it on his own? Can he protect his own self if he was attacked again? Is it safe for him to stay in the city or should he go back to the rural life that he have before?
That day, Kei decided not to go to school because the fear was still there and he can't attend his class with a face like that. He called his grandmother last night to have some words from her. The urged to go back was strong but the string that pulled him in the city was stronger. The will to change his life, the reality that it was his decision to stay in the city despite knowing that it will endanger his life and also the fact that the person that he loves the most was staying in that area; he can't just let go. He wanted to persuade himself that he was not weak and if he back off then that means he was and so… he decided to stay.
His mind were full of thoughts and worries but it was disturbed by his growling stomach. He didn't have dinner last night and he woke up late so he was so hungry but to his disappointment, he remembered that he doesn't have anything to fill his stomach. He is supposed to do some grocery yesterday but after what happened to him he was not able to do it. He didn't want to go out but he can't starve himself to death. He to go out to buy something to eat but once he opened his door he was surprised to see Kota standing in front of his apartment. It seems like he was also about to ring his doorbell and he was startled by a sudden opening of the door.
"I thought you're in school this morning because I kept on ringing your doorbell but you were not answering at all. I went to your classroom and they said that you were absent so I went back immediately to check on you." Kota told him continuously. "I am glad you're okay." he sighed in relief.
Kei knew that Kota was saying something but he didn't hear it clearly for his focus was on his sight that was directly looking at Kota's face. Kota was gone for 3 days but he felt that it's years since the last time they talk to each other. So many things happened in just days that they were separated to each other, something known and unexpected. He was wanting to see him so much, specially this few days that he needed someone on his side. His hand was shaking but he tried to keep it together. He can't act so weak in front of him specially that he doesn't have any right to be one.
He was dumbfounded for seconds when he realized that Kota was staring at him so much and remembered that he have bruises all over his face and body. He planned on bowing down to hide his face but it was too late since Kota touched him on his chin to have a better view.
"Kei.. What happened to your face? Wh… why are you mess up? Wh… what happened to you?" he asked one after the other but he immediately let go when he noticed him being awkward of the situation. He averted his eyes away but turned it back again with a sighed. "Someone called me the other day and said that you were ill. Who is that? Bu… but before that… wh...who did that to you? Who hurt you?"
"I… it's nothing." Kei decided to remained silent. He can't exposed the truth since Kota knew that he have an amnesia and if he tell the truth then he will start to question him and he didn't like that. "I just… I was just caught in some trouble while I am walking in the street… th...that's all." he lied. Kota didn’t reply instantly upon hearing his reasons and he can't tell if he accepted his answer. It hit his conscience for lying but for him it's the best thing to do that time in order to avoid more conflict.
"I… I am just glad that you're safe." Kota whispered, he raised his left hand like he wanted to pat Kei's head but he stop midway and just scratch his head.
"i… if you don't have anything to say then please excuse me. I'm going to go somewhere and so…" Kei continued while he was locking the door of his apartment.
"Where are you going?" Kota asked him.
"It doesn't matter… you have class right? You need to go back to school." Kei said as he started to walk forward but all of a sudden, when he put pressure on his left crutch, it broke. Kota immediately run towards Kei to help him from standing. "Wh...what happened?" he asked, a little startled about what happened.
"It broke." Kota said. "Did you hit it somewhere? It has a crack in the middle and so it broke." he explained. Kei remembered about Sano, throwing his crutches away and that's maybe the result of it. Kei looked disappointed, those crutches was with him since the beginning of his journey with his handicapped and now it broke. Kota checked on the other and it also have a crack on it. "I think you should buy a new one. You can't continue to use that, it will cause you more danger."
"it's just a small crack I don't think I need a change besides… I don't have money to buy for a new one."
"I lend you. I'll buy you a new one. You can't continue to use this." Kota volunteered.
"No… I don't want to owe you."
"I insists Kei." Kota said and he think that if he said no, Kota will push on buying him a new one and so in the end he accepted the offer. They ride Kota's car and went to the nearest facility where they can buy a new one. Inside the car, Kei was so silent but he was secretly sneaking glances at Kota who was silently driving. He wanted to see him so much this 3 days that he was gone.
"When did you met that Yuto? He is the guy who called me the other night." Kota suddenly opened a topic.
"I… I just met him wh… when… he is a friend of a classmate of mine and he introduced him to me." Kei replied. The questions was so sudden that at first he didn't know how he will answer it. He can't tell him that he was save by him when he was chase by Sano. Silence was again in between the two. In every question Kota asked, Kei give a brief answer and that ends the conversation. Finally they arrived at the store where they will going to buy a new crutches. Kota help Kei in walking and let him sit down in a chair available for customers. Kota is the one who did all the talking to the sales lady while he was just there and wait for it to be over. He was watching Kota all this time and he can't take his eyes off him.
How long can he pretend in front of him? How long will he hide the truth to him? He already prove that Kota regret what he did in the past. He was gentle and caring towards him. He was troubling himself with a question that already have an answer. He knew that the solution to his problem was no one but Kota. He is the only one who can save him from the hell he was going through.
Kota walked back to his place and told him that his crutches is being prepared and they just need to wait for it. "Are you thirsty? Do you want me to buy you something?" Kota offered but Kei remained in silent while still deciding what he should do. "I'm thirsty so I'm going to buy…" the tall guy continued but he stopped when Kei grabbed his hand and opened his mouth like he will tell something to him.
"Kou-chan." someone called from somewhere and that made Kei let go of Kota's hand immediately. It was an annoyingly familiar voice that both of them knew. "I can't believe I can see you here." Aira said cheerfully and with closeness. She starred at Kota like Kei was not there at all. "What a small world. I am here with a friend who have some appointment here… how about you? What are you doing here?" she asked and finally she noticed that Kei was there."Ohh… look who is here."
"Aira… you knew Kei?" Kota asked.
"Of course… isn't he in the same high school as we are?" Aira asked normally.
"About that… Kei have an amnesia so he can't remember about it." Kota pointed out. "Kei, this is Aira… she is also our batch mate in high school." he introduced them.
Aira raised her right eyebrow and smirk. Whenever she was looking at Kei she always look disgusted but when her eyes was on Kota it looks so loving and cute. "Amnesia huh… what a terrible thing to happen to a unfortunate guy like you." she said cunningly. Kota is about to say a thing but the sales lady called his attention and so he need to go to the counter and leave Kei and Aira alone together.
"What kind of role play is this? Amnesia? When did you have one?" Aira asked Kei, the tone of her voice change. "I just remembered the other day that you called my name all knowingly… of course you will since we are classmates for the whole high school years." she continued.
Kei remained in silence even he can hear Aira said those stuffs clearly. Why do problems come one after the other?
"Don't ignore me you wimpy ugly bitch." Aira address to him and this time Kei snapped and glare at her. "What? You're telling I am lying when the truth is already obvious?"
"Please Aira… don't make a scene here" Kei begged.
"Aren't you the one who should do that? You're the one making a scene here. Pretending that you have an amnesia? What kind of lame game is this? Or should I say… what a terrible way to flirt with someone. You are using this pity effect to control Kota in the palm of your hand. How long will you act blind about the truth Kei Inoo? It's been years since Kota rejected you… he is not in love with you.. He can't fall for you. Acting so desperate like this… even pretending to have an amnesia so that you can stay to Kota's side all this time… is so disgusting. You are like a stalker who have no sense of moral anymore. Where did your pride go?" Aira continued to trash talk him.
"Isn't that supposed to be address to you?" Kei asked her back. "Aren't you the one being so desperate to have Kota? I give up on Kota long time ago… when he rejected me I knew already that I can't have him but how about you? You obviously tailing him, praying that you can have him all this time."
"Shut up." Aira said. "At least I knew I still have hopes to have him… not like stupid disgusting homo like you. I am a girl and men needs woman in their life. if I will just stay on Kota's side I am sure he will accept me soon enough. More than the two of us… I still have a bigger chance. Besides what if Kota found out that you are just pretending to have an amnesia in order to stay besides him? I am sure he will be so mad at you because you are playing with him. You will be hated forever and you will have no space to come back for."
Kei was not able to reply since Kota came back with the new crutches that he bought. He asked Kei to try it first before he can settle the bill. Aira stayed there while watching the two in an annoying manner. Kei can feel her gazes and hatred towards him. Kei didn't want to stay long as he agree to take it immediately. He wanted to go back to his apartment and have a rest.
Aira accompanied Kota in the cashier and they talk to each other closely. Aira stands so close to Kota and they were laughing and smiling together. Kota can't smile like that in front of him. He always have a serious look on his face and sometimes said and painful. It's refreshing to see him that way because he loves his eyes when it was curved like that but at the same time he doesn't like it since he is not the reason why he was smiling that way. Aira's friend caller her attention and said that they will go but before she leave she goes back to Kei again. "I don't need to play tricks in order to win this battle… it's obviously my win." Aira told him with a smirk. Then he goes back to Kota and she hugged him tightly as if showing him that he already loss. Kei looked away because he can't bare seeing that sight.
Inside the car, Kei was all silent again. He wanted to pretend to sleep so that Kota will not talk to him but he can't do it for some reason. Aira's image is irritating him and that time that she hugged Kota hurts him. He was obviously jealous and he hates it. He just played a game on his phone but still he can't concentrate at all and when the car suddenly stops because of the red light, he let it go. He tried to reach it but his right arm suddenly hurt and so Kota pick it up for him. "Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah… it's nothing." Kei replied.
"I want… to be closer to you." Kota uttered back. "Kei, I want to be someone who you can rely on and so I didn't like this… I don't want you to lie to me and tell me that you're alright when its obvious that you are not. How can a person, who have all those bruises, who was in pain… be alright? The crack on your crutches… it's not due to wear and tear… it's something you can get when someone throw it or hit it in a hard surface. I… I want you to be honest with me. What did happen and who did this to you?" Kota asked him straight.
"Kota it's green light already." Kei said and Kota just continue to drive.
Finally they arrived at the apartment but before Kei leave the car, Kota talk to him again asking the same question to him. "I told you… it's nothing. There's no reason to be worried about me." Kei said then he noticed that Kota's phone was vibrating but Kota is ignoring it. "You have a call." he told him.
"I want an answer from you."
"Answer the call… what if it was Aira?" Kei asked him. "I'm tired I'm going back to my apartment." he continued.
Kota wanted to follow Kei as he went down the car but he look at his phone and saw that it was an unknown number. He answered it and finally heard a voice he never heard since Kanata's death.
"YO…. IT'S GAME TIME AGAIN."
Author's Note: Wow i can't believe that my last update for this is March... it's already September and i even told myself that my deadline for this is June. Anyway here's a chapter for everyone. Or should I say… what a terrible way to flirt with someone. You are using this pity effect to control Kota in the palm of your hand. How long will you act blind about the truth Kei Inoo? It's been years since Kota rejected you… he is not in love with you.. He can't fall for you. Acting so desperate like this… even pretending to have an amnesia so that you can stay to Kota's side all this time… is so disgusting. You are like a stalker who have no sense of moral anymore. Where did your pride go?" Aira continued to trash talk him.
"Isn't that supposed to be address to you?" Kei asked her back. "Aren't you the one being so desperate to have Kota? I give up on Kota long time ago… when he rejected me I knew already that I can't have him but how about you? You obviously tailing him, praying that you can have him all this time."
"Shut up." Aira said. "At least I knew I still have hopes to have him… not like stupid disgusting homo like you. I am a girl and men needs woman in their life. if I will just stay on Kota's side I am sure he will accept me soon enough. More than the two of us… I still have a bigger chance. Besides what if Kota found out that you are just pretending to have an amnesia in order to stay besides him? I am sure he will be so mad at you because you are playing with him. You will be hated forever and you will have no space to come back for."
Kei was not able to reply since Kota came back with the new crutches that he bought. He asked Kei to try it first before he can settle the bill. Aira stayed there while watching the two in an annoying manner. Kei can feel her gazes and hatred towards him. Kei didn't want to stay long as he agree to take it immediately. He wanted to go back to his apartment and have a rest.
Aira accompanied Kota in the cashier and they talk to each other closely. Aira stands so close to Kota and they were laughing and smiling together. Kota can't smile like that in front of him. He always have a serious look on his face and sometimes said and painful. It's refreshing to see him that way because he loves his eyes when it was curved like that but at the same time he doesn't like it since he is not the reason why he was smiling that way. Aira's friend caller her attention and said that they will go but before she leave she goes back to Kei again. "I don't need to play tricks in order to win this battle… it's obviously my win." Aira told him with a smirk. Then he goes back to Kota and she hugged him tightly as if showing him that he already loss. Kei looked away because he can't bare seeing that sight.
Inside the car, Kei was all silent again. He wanted to pretend to sleep so that Kota will not talk to him but he can't do it for some reason. Aira's image is irritating him and that time that she hugged Kota hurts him. He was obviously jealous and he hates it. He just played a game on his phone but still he can't concentrate at all and when the car suddenly stops because of the red light, he let it go. He tried to reach it but his right arm suddenly hurt and so Kota pick it up for him. "Are you alright?" he asked.
"Yeah… it's nothing." Kei replied.
"I want… to be closer to you." Kota uttered back. "Kei, I want to be someone who you can rely on and so I didn't like this… I don't want you to lie to me and tell me that you're alright when its obvious that you are not. How can a person, who have all those bruises, who was in pain… be alright? The crack on your crutches… it's not due to wear and tear… it's something you can get when someone throw it or hit it in a hard surface. I… I want you to be honest with me. What did happen and who did this to you?" Kota asked him straight.
"Kota it's green light already." Kei said and Kota just continue to drive.
Finally they arrived at the apartment but before Kei leave the car, Kota talk to him again asking the same question to him. "I told you… it's nothing. There's no reason to be worried about me." Kei said then he noticed that Kota's phone was vibrating but Kota is ignoring it. "You have a call." he told him.
"I want an answer from you."
"Answer the call… what if it was Aira?" Kei asked him. "I'm tired I'm going back to my apartment." he continued.
Kota wanted to follow Kei as he went down the car but he look at his phone and saw that it was an unknown number. He answered it and finally heard a voice he never heard since Kanata's death.
"YO…. IT'S GAME TIME AGAIN."
Author's Note: Wow i can't believe that my last update for this is March... it's already September and i even told myself that my deadline for this is June. Anyway here's a chapter for everyone. I hope no one forget about the story because of its long hiatus hehe. Hope you like it and want to hear what you think about the story so far in the comment. XD
