Wicked
I don't know which is more disturbing: the fact that "Wicked" has a much higher level of sex, drugs and physical brutality than I was expecting, or the fact that I obtained this book through my Nana. Admittedly she gave up on it early on... and I NOW KNOW WHY.
I'm not entirely sure I'm getting along with it ... I think what I've heard of the musical (two songs; both cheerful) and some fanarts I saw a while ago gave me a completely false impression of the book. Because it is far darker and way bloodier than those songs would let on, and I was not expecting that. Neither was my Nana. :S
