Newcastle, you have wooed me with your talk of the RSC and Creative Writing Modules... how can I refuse your elegant architecture, your pedestrianised areas, your friendly natives? (although I think someone knew I was coming and hid them all. All I heard all day was damn Southerners and I think even a Scouser. STOP FOLLOWING ME. I wanna hear the Geordies...)
And let us not forget the incredible majesty of your Theatre Society and your very modern furniture and wall decorations. Also, you gave me a free can of coke after I'd been sitting in a stuffy room for half an hour. For this, I love you. Further to this your streets are far cleaner than those of Liverpool, and when your layout confused me and I had to go back to the station, your Metro was waiting to take me two stops down to the university itself.
Is this love? Quite possibly.
I also shopped (yay me!) and got the new Kaiser Chiefs album and Gunpowder, Treason and Plot, because those few caps have been haunting me for too long.
I made both my York connections with only minor abrasions and made a couple of friends. Not that we exchanged names. But one was MALE so I think that, all things considered, this was a fairly awesome day. :D
