Our place in Port Gibson only lost power for less than 2 minutes last night; some rural areas out of town were said to still be without power this morning. Bands of rain and clear are traveling through here today, but not as bad as it sounded the other day.
Nothing much is going on here in Port Gibson, Mississippi, which I suspect is the usual situation. Port "Too Purty To Burn" Gibson is home to mystery Loa, scarry looking but benevolent anthropomorphic pigs, and (temporarily) Louisiana evacuees.

Not scrambling to pack up to leave town, maybe for good.
H & I are planning to really celebrate on the 28th, by not getting up before dawn and by not driving all day. In fact, we plan to sleep late and stay in town.
