New Year's Eve 2008 Part 2

Jan 03, 2008 13:04

After UNO, we sent the kids to their room and we took a stroll on the beach. I love the beach at night the sound of the waves crashing against the surf, the feeling of sand beneath the feet and the fresh clean smell of salt water all around.

Jana and I had a nice moment talking and walking. Lots of fun to intimate emotion passed while we went arm and arm.

When we got back we grabbed the boys and went to main street where the town was gathering for the New Years Eve countdown. The crowd was routy and festive, almost being too much for my laid back mood of the moment. It was nice to see them though and be in part of their debauchery.

We took another walk leaving the mob and meet the manager of the hotel, Gloria, of where we were staying. She had a small bon fire going. The boys did their best to tend to the fire while we chatted. Eventually, everyone else went to the hotel to get out of the cold except Jana, Gloria, and I. It was pleasant finishing off some beers on the beach as the night became darker and the area deserted.

Back inside we played a little 80's Trivial Pursuit then crashed.

In the late afternoon we went and had burgers at pretty decent country restaurant and then drove home.

All in all the New Years went well.

Until next entry,
