DVD hell...

Part of the reason I bought the new computer I now have is for the express purpose of burning DVDs and freeing up the Mac.

So, I tried it with one of the 'alice' videos...which I created, and are not copyrighted. That went over like a ton of bricks thrown from an airplane. It appeared to burn, then gave a buttload of error messages. Mind you, this stupid computer has a bunch of 'dvd burning' software preloaded on it. And as far as I can tell, 99.999% of it is all crap.

SO-I took the DVD program we use to duplicate at the other clinic. It's a paid copy, and I have seen it work. I had all of the liscensing codes etc. AND...guess what? It doesn't work (I'm guessing it's a VISTA issue as the program is for Win 97.)

Not being one to give up, I manipulated it in various ways and got component bits to load.

Now?

I have a startup error on my computer. I can't find where the glitch is.

I'm not a happy camper.

In other news, we met with a few theatre friends last night to go see the new Batman movie. It was much better than I anticipated. I enjoyed myself.
