And help lead me down the road that is right

It has been a busy week here in the Alexander Haus. I re-connected with a woman I worked with in radio 800 years ago and asked how we could collaborate together. Pam is one of those people who, if you have at least 2 working brain cells and an interest in what she is doing, will put you to work. We have been working on marketing projects and plans for her talk show A Closer Look with Pam Atherton.

It is work that feeds my soul and makes me happy and makes me want to work rather than have to work. We have all sorts of plans for her show, which, we were just informed, is going to two days a week instead of one. This means a lot of scrambling and a lot of work for me. But I like it. I feel like the planets are lining up and giving me what I need. I also met with an acquaintance who wants to make a DVD to go with our composting book. Score!

Next week is going to be even busier. I signed up for a freelance writing class which covers all basics of writing articles and marketing yourself and I'm meeting with a writers group. I'm hoping we'll be able to share our stuff because I need to get out of that "I'm too embarrassed to share my writing" phase. I'm also meeting with some people I knew from my "old job" who make compost bins to see if we can "cross-market" our stuff together.

So that has been my week. Yesterday I took some time for myself and walked along the river and into downtown Vancouver.
