I watched the recent debate about who's at fault in the whole thing with great interest. :D Fai? Kuro? Ashura-ou? Ohkawa's evil black heart? Will we ever agree on this? :D
I still stand by my opinion that deep down inside Fai doesn't want to fight Kuro at all. Yet he's so driven by guilt and the clever manipulation of Ashura that he's wiling to do anything for his twin here. And exactly for that reason, it's Fai who attacks first, Kuro is only repelling his magic - which is a formidable power! - and who can blame him? It would be stupid to just stand there and do nothing while Fai kills him.
Even so, I feel that Kuro is only doing this to slap some sense into Fai - who is obviously not thinking straight here - but he will avoid causing serious harm. Kuro is the most sane of them all - Yuuko picked him, remember? :D - there's no way he'll be going into all killer-mode, on Fai none the less. :)
As for me, I still blame Ashura and I don't think I'll ever warm up to him. No matter how smooth and refined his pained look is. Huff.
p.s: But finally, the tattoo! And "rank D". What do you think? I expected something more... mysterious. :D But it's just as a fake than the rest of his name is, so I guess it makes sense. Well-fed chibi!Fai in huge fluffy coat is <33333 though.
