I finally cracked today and googled espot, which turns out to be a marketing company which has just signed a deal with aol - so I can hardly expect their spam filters to catch the stuff. Either AOL has sorted out its problems with the LJ code feeds, or my de-friending the LJ info feeds worked, anyway I have just received a backlog of LJ and IJ notifications to my in box. Ever since I've had this little pink laptop I've been trying to get rid of the automatic part of the startup program that plays an AOL advert. Yesterday I updated my AVG security and purged a lot of extraneous temp files. And on starting up just now AVG gave me a 'Detected Malware' warning. Will now go away and make a cup of tea, and smoked salmon with scrambled eggs on toast for lunch - by the time I get back this may have posted...

I am really going to have to seriously look for a new laptop. This one is missing one key, and a couple of letters off the logo on the case. Half the rest of the keys, including the left shift key, don't work (the 't' is the latest to declare UDI).
