My mom is a lot better, she just recently moved into a new adult family home which is much closer to my sisters house... she was in a nursing home for about a month while my sister found her a new adult family home - the last one seemed abusive, and she arrived at the hospital severely dehydrated and dirty (like dirt on her face kinda stuff)... I guess I could do another update... I talked to my sister the other day, she said she visited mom and needed me to call her. I always am fearful of when I receive a message on facebook, or when I see a message on my wall from her... I'm SO scared that I'll eventually see the message that mom is gone ( Read more... )

Called my mom again tonight, this call was so much more emotional than last talk... there was no light switch this time... it was all her not being fully with it. I hate to write it on here because it is something that is a very emotional thing - but, I know if I don't, I'll bottle it up... it helps getting it out there, even if no one reads it... I stayed awake to call my mom last night, being full aware her dementia is getting worse... but knowing she has good and bad times.
